In the mid-1980s Kathleen Caito and Karen (Naka) Strauss were very creative hair stylists with a dream of owning their own salon. In 1989 they left their employers and founded Ichiban Salon and Day Spa in a century home in Rocky River, Ohio. As a result of their dedication to providing their clients with a level of service rarely seen in the salon industry, they soon outgrew their original location and needed to find larger facilities to continue their journey. In 1997, they moved the salon to the Turning Point Building in Westlake where they enjoy spacious surroundings of over 7,000 square feet spread over two levels from which to provide their clients with the ultimate in service and luxury. We met recently with partners Harry and Kathleen Caito and Naka Strauss, and listened as they outlined the services and pleasures awaiting you at Ichiban Salon and Day Spa;

We offer a full line of skin care, including facials, body treatments, micro-dermabrasion, European waxing, and make-up. We have a very nice selection of spa packages that provide our clients with multiple spa services at special pricing.
